A rogue mainframe has scrambled three critical nodes on our cybernetic subnet. You are tasked with cracking the ciphers to regain access. Each node is protected with higher security encryption protocols.

CIPHER MECHANICS

1. Simple Substitution (Node 1): Every letter in the ciphertext corresponds to exactly one plain letter. Match the encryption mapping using mathematical frequency patterns.

2. Columnar Transposition (Node 2 & 3): The code blocks have been vertically sliced into columns and scrambled. You must align the transposition columns in their proper sequence before deciphering the letter substitution matrix!

FREQUENCY ANALYSIS

Analyze the Frequency Comparison Grid. Standard english texts follow highly predictive letter densities (such as E being the most common letter at ~12.7%). Match high-frequency cipher characters with standard references to discover logical clues.

CONTROLS REFERENCE

DESKTOP INTERACTION:

• Use Keyboard Arrow Keys / WASD to navigate the cipher selection grid.
• Type any letter A-Z on your keyboard to instantly assign a decryption mapping.
• Press Backspace / Delete to reset a mapping.
• In Column Transposition levels, click on a column header to select, then click Shift Left/Right buttons to swap sequence order.

MOBILE/TOUCH INTERACTION:

• Directly tap any cell on the Cipher Mapping Matrix to highlight it.
• Use the virtual Keyboard Keys at the bottom of the right panel to instantly assign characters.
• Tap column headers directly to change selection and use transposition shift controls.
